Actor DaJuan Johnson returns ‘To Protect and Serve’ as Detective Rondell Pierce in Season 4 of Amazon’s Emmy-nominated original drama series, BOSCH. Binge releasing all ten-episodes on April 13th, the new season is based on best-selling author Michael Connelly’s sixth book in the Harry Bosch series, Angel’s Flight.
The storyline kicks-off when an attorney is murdered on the eve of his civil rights trial against the LAPD. Bosch (Titus Welliver) is assigned to lead a Task Force to solve the crime before the city erupts in a riot. After being promoted last season to Detective and proving fiercely loyal to Bosch, Pierce (Johnson) is now ready to stand on his own merits as a respected member of the department.
Johnson has built a solid reputation and resume in the industry. Fans will recognize him from his recurring roles on Fox’s action-thriller 24 alongside Kiefer Sutherland and ABC’s hit medical-drama Private Practice opposite Tessa Thompson. Other notable television credits include guest starring appearances on Downward Dog, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Agent Carter, Bones, Close to Home, Criminal Minds, Lincoln Heights, CSI: NY, CSI and Scrubs among others. Johnson also gained attention as a stand-out talent in the MTV bio-pic Pedro, co-starring as Sean Sasser, the supportive boyfriend to AIDS activist Pedro Zamora, who was the first HIV-positive homosexual to appear in a reality show on MTV. Growing up in Miami, Florida, Johnson realized his passion for acting at an early age while participating in local theatre productions. After receiving dual B.A. degrees in Theatre and English Literature from the University of Florida, he continued his education at Colorado State University obtaining his masters in Higher Education. With this foundation, he moved to Los Angeles where he continues to pursue one of his greatest passions – acting.
