Fresh off the promotion trail for the Indy film circuit for “Eternity: The Movie”, (The Indy comedy where Barrett plays a Daryl Hall-like character) this L.A. based artist discovered that performing the songs from the film ignited a subconscious primal voice and spark that had been brewing for years. After being featured on a remix of Corona’s classic “The Rhythm of the Night” that peaked at #2 on Germany’s dance charts, Barrett returned to the studio to record his new single “Oceans of You”, a deeply personal ode to a departed loved one, and the distance between us all.

His new animated video, a creation by Chilean artist Marcel Lagos, is an astonishingly fresh and innovative visualization of the song.  It gets even better upon repeat viewings as you pick up the subtle hints of motion in Marcel’s craft.

Regarding the video, Barrett exclaims:

“The process of making this video was a huge creative undertaking. As this is my first original song and video it had to be personal. The song is deeply personal and the video had to reflect that.

What we found is a fantasy/dream world where I travel to discover what’s important and what “power” I had all along. It’s meant to portray the struggle of true self expression in a world of repression. It also symbolizes the power that your loved ones have whether they’re physically with you or not.”

Barrett will be in the studio with us at Dash Radio for Creators Studio. His interview will air next Wednesday, June 6th at 2pm.
